Circumambulation of Balichak Christopher Day School started on its orbit in the year 1978 after the destruction of its previous physical existence at Panskura by the devastating flood of 1978 in undivided Midnapore District.
The cordial and creative dream of Late Haripada Khatua for a model centre of children education with more importance on English came into existence and set the ball rolling with the immense co-operation of Late Rev. Father A. G. Pinto. The process of shaping the school was sympathized, backed and helped by Late Bishnupada Sasmal, Mr. Ashoke Kumar Sasmal, Late Dr. Debaprasad De, Mr. Prabir Kumar Manna, local well wishers and the members of the Managing committee and the teaching staff of Balichak Bhajahari Institution at the very crucial moment.
The school was initially started in the old hostel building of Balichak B.H. Institution on the 23rd January,1978. Two years later Mr.Ranjit Kumar Das (Asst.Teacher of Mundamari Ushananda Vidyapith), Prof. Ajit Kumar Ghosh (of Pingla Thana Mahavidyalaya) and Prof Dr. Mohammad Daud (of Sabong College) joined the school as guardians and shouldered the Himalayan task of preparing school curriculum, syllabus constitution and bye-laws, code of conduct, Logo etc. Thus the centre of children education had been shaped into a complete school.
The center of this children education for blooming buds has been steadily strolled for twenty five years in its journey amidst the ups and downs and observed the “Silver Jubilee celebration in the year 2003-04 on the 16th & 17th January, 2004 in a grand way. The authority of the school is enthused to proclaim its dedicated existence by the celebration of the opening ceremony for the completion of 40 (forty) years journey on the 17th January 2018 with pomp and grandeur in presence of the Minister in-charge of water Resource Development, Govt. of West Bengal Dr. Soumen Mahapatra, Mrs. Selima Khatun (Bibi) M.L.A, Debra and a galaxy of educationists under the secretarial leadership of Mr. Sanjib Banerjee. Now this excellent center for child education has been steadily strolling to the Golden Jubilee celebration in the year 2028.
A vast green grassy field is there where The students usually practice Yoga, Pranayam, Mass P.T., Rhythmic Exercises & Games.
Drinking water is supplied through NOVA UV water purifier & tap water.
Boys & Girls use separate urinals and lavatories attaches to the school.
Attending doctor of the school is always available from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. daily. Periodical health check-up is done in June & December.
Special tutorial classes are arranged for lagging behind and topper students after the school hours (once in a week).
There are subject wise highly qualified, experienced, Anglo Bengali and Montessori trained teachers provide teaching in school.
